Mike Bossy (HHOF ’91)
One of the greatest right-wingers of all time, Mike Bossy spent his entire 10-year career with the New York Islanders. In 1978, he won the Calder Trophy for Rookie of the Year. In 1981, he scored 50 goals in 50 games, the first time an NHLer had done this since Maurice “The Rocket” Richard did it in 1945. He was part of the Islander dynasty that won four successive Stanley Cups from 1980-1984, winning the Conn Smythe trophy for the 1982 playoffs. He was a member of the 1981 and 1984 Canada Cup teams and won the Lady Byng trophy for Most Gentlemanly Player three times. Bossy’s 573 goals puts him at number six on the all-time goals list.
