
Johnny Bucyk (HHOF ’91)
When Johnny Bucyk retired in 1978, only Gordie Howe, Phil Esposito and Stan Mikita had more points than him. With 556 goals and 1369 points, Bucyk currently sits 20th on the all-time points list. Starting with the Detroit Red Wings in 1955, he was traded to the Boston Bruins in 1957 for Terry Sawchuk. He would play in Boston for another 21 years, picking up two Lady Byng Memorial Trophies (1971, 1974) for gentlemanly conduct, a Lester Patrick trophy (1977) and two Stanley Cups with the Bruins in 1970 and 1972. Bucyk remains active with the Bruins organization.
