Jim Dorey
The ‘patrolman’ of the Leafs defense, Jim Dorey was a Toronto Maple Leaf from 1968 to 1972. Taking his job seriously, he registered 200 PIMs in 1969 and another 198 in 1971. Lured by a more favourable contract, Dorey jumped ship to the WHA, where he played for the New England Whalers, winning the Avco Cup in his first season. After two more seasons, he moved to the Toronto Toros and then the Quebec Nordiques, where he won the Avco Cup a second time.
