Dwight Foster
A solid two-way centre, Dwight Foster was drafted by Boston in 1977 and spent the remainder of the 70’s alternating between junior and the NHL, and then between the AHL and the NHL. Signing with Colorado in 1981, he remained with the team when it relocated to New Jersey the following season. Early that season, he moved again; this time to Detroit where his solid defensive play helped the Red Wings make the playoffs for the first time in six years. In 1986, he was traded to Boston where he finished his career.
