Jayna Hefford
A stalwart of the Canadian National Women’s Hockey team, Jayna Hefford is arguably Canada’s best female hockey player. She has five world championship gold medals and a silver from the 1998 Nagano games. However, her greatest achievement came as the scorer of the winning goal in Canada’s gold medal victory in Salt Lake City in 2002. The co-owner of a Kingston hockey school, she currently plays for the NHWL’s Brampton Thunder, where she was the leading scorer in 2003/2004 and named outstanding offensive player.
