Dale Hunter
An enforcer who could score, Dale Hunter was feared around the league. In his first season with Quebec, he amassed 63 points and 226 PIMs! Missing only three games in his first six seasons, he scored 79 points in 1984 and helped fuel an intense rivalry with the Canadiens in the Eighties. After seven seasons with the Nordiques, he moved to Washington, where he played for 12 seasons. He joined the Colorado Avalanche in 1999 for their playoff run, after which he retired. After spending a year in the Capitals’ front office, he purchased the OHL’s London Knights with his brother Mark. In 2004-2005, he coached the Knights to the best record for a Canadian Junior team ever and most consecutive games without a loss. At the time of writing, the Knights were participating in the Memorial Cup tournament as hosts and OHL Champions.
