Jacques Laperriere (HHOF ’87)
Jacques Laperriere was a key member of the Montreal Canadiens dynasty from the 60’s and 70’s. He joined Montreal in 1963 and his 30-point performance – as a defenseman – earned him the Calder Trophy that season. He won four Stanley Cups in the 60’s and earned the Norris Trophy in 1966. Laperriere was a giant in the 1971 playoffs, scoring four goals and 13 assists to help Montreal to yet another Cup; he would do the same in 1973. After retiring with six Stanley Cups, he won two more over his 16-year tenure as an assistant coach with the Habs. He is currently an assistant on Long Island.
