Fleming Mackell
There are only three father-son combinations to have won the Stanley Cup: the Conachers, the Hulls and the Mackell. Fleming Mackell’s father, Jack, won two Cups in the 20’s with the Ottawa Senators. Fleming won his first Stanley Cup as a Toronto Maple Leaf call-up in 1949. After winning a second Cup in 1951, he was traded the next season to Boston where he played for a decade. After injuries began to take their toll, he would play in a variety of minor leagues in the 60’s before retiring in 1968. His NHL totals included 171 goals for 432 points and 637 PIMs for 745 total games.
