Don Maloney

Over his 800-game career, Don Maloney was a left-winger who could check and kill penalties.  He became a regular for the New York Rangers late in the 1978-79 season.  The next season was the first in which he registered five straight 20+-goal seasons.  He was an All-Star in 1983 and 1984, the latter game earning him MVP.  After being sent to the Whalers for the remainder of the 1989 season, he signed with the Islanders.  After two years, he retired and became their head coach for four years.  He is now Vice-President of Player Personnel for the Rangers.
