Bryan Marchment
Noted for his devastating body checks, Bryan Marchment was taken 16th overall by Winnipeg in 1987. After playing in junior for two more years, he appeared only sparingly for the Jets. Traded to Chicago in 1991, Marchment’s physical presence was essential to the Blackhawks’ finals appearance in 1992. He then spent half a season in Hartford before moving to Edmonton for parts of four seasons. He then spent 22 games in Tampa Bay in 1997-1998 before settling in San Jose. The Colorado Avalanche brought him to Denver in 2003 to shore up their blue line for their playoff run but Marchment went on to sign with Toronto in the off-season.
