Joan McCusker
Known across Canada as Sandra Schmirler’s second, this curler was a member of one of the most famous Canadian sports teams in recent memory. A three-time Canadian and World Women’s champion, McCusker’s rink gained national exposure when they won the Olympic Gold in Nagano, Japan. An honoured member of the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame (2000), McCusker now curls with Team Betker out of Saskatchewan. She is able to speak about her Olympic experience and how to build effective teams. She can also share humourous anecdotes about her curling life.
