Rick Middleton
Drafted by the Rangers in 1974, he spent two years in New York before moving to the rival Bruins. In his first game in Boston, he scored a hat trick. His numbers increased each season with his best career year coming in 1980-81. Excellent when Boston was on both the power play and the penalty kill, Middleton played in both the 1981 and 1984 Canada Cup teams. In the latter tournament, he played on a line with Wayne Gretzky and Gilbert Perreault. Middleton retired in 1988 with 1088 points in 1119 regular season and playoff games. He is now an analyst with the New England Sports Network for Bruins games and owns a successful wholesale barber business.
