Owen Nolan

One of the players that defined the “power forward” era of the 90’s, Owen Nolan was drafted first overall in 1990 by the Quebec Nordiques.  Blossoming in his second year, he missed most of the next season due to injuries.  Although he moved to Colorado with his team, he only played nine games before he was traded to San Jose.  Nolan played eight seasons with the Sharks, where he became an effective two-way forward.  In 2000, he finished the season second overall in goals and won an Olympic gold medal at the 2002 Salt Lake City games with Team Canada.  Just before the 2003 trade deadline, Toronto acquired Nolan, where he provided grit and goals as one of the team’s top producers.
