Terry O' Reilly
A working-class hero in Beantown, Terry O’Reilly was the epitome of a Boston Bruin in the 70’s and 80’s. Drafted 14th overall by Boston, he joined the Bruins after a season in the minors. Although frequently a league leader in PIMs, he reached the 20-goal mark four times and reached the Stanley Cup finals three times. He retired in 1985 after playing his entire 13-year career for the Bruins. O’Reilly immediately became an assistant coach and then head coach the following season. In 1988, he led the Bruins over the Canadiens in the playoffs for only the third time in 22 tries. The Bruins retired his number 24 in 2002.
