Mark Osbourne

Drafted by Detroit in 1980, Mark Osbourne became known as a tight checker who played great in the corners.  However, he showed his scoring touch as he started his NHL career with 67 points.  In 1983, the Red Wings sent Osbourne to the Rangers, where he was a consistent two-way forward.  In 1987, he moved to the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he put up great numbers on the “GEM line” with Gary Leeman and Ed Olczyk; his best season was in 1989-90 when he earned 73 points.  Although he was traded to the Winnipeg Jets the following season, he was back in Toronto by 1992.  Playing on a checking line with Peter Zezel and Bill Berg, Osbourne helped the Leafs reach the conference finals in 1993 and 1994.  After a short stint with the Rangers, he ended his NHL career in 1995.  Mark Osbourne is a charming guest for any golfing or sporting event.
