Brad Selwood
Defenseman Brad Selwood played three NHL seasons in the 70s but was better known for toiling in all seven years of the WHA. He was a fine puck handler with a decent shot from the point and could also take the body in his own zone. Selwood was drafted by Toronto 10th overall in 1968 and played 28 games for the Blue and White in 1970-1971. After being lured to the WHA’s New England Whalers, he helped the team win their first ever Avco Cup in 1973. Reclaimed by the Montreal Canadiens in 1979, he was quickly traded to Los Angeles Kings. He played there for a season before spending the remainder of his career in the minors. He is now the Vice-President, General Manager and Director of Hockey Operations for the OHL’s Oshawa Generals.
