Biography
Born in Calgary to wrestling patriarch Stu Hart, Bret’s introduction to wrestling came at an early age. After joining his father’s promotion in Stampede Wrestling in 1976, making his in-ring debut in 1978, Bret quickly gained popularity and earned victories in WWE throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Bret would leave the WWE following the 1997 Montreal Screwjob incident, and participate in World Championship Wrestling series, with whom he remained with until his retirement in 2000. Since officially retiring, Bret had made comebacks for specific in-ring competitions in 2004, 2006 and 2010. Bret Hart holds championships in 5 decades, the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, and won his final competition in 2010. Bret Hart was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006.
