Noted for his devastating body checks, Bryan Marchment was taken 16th overall by Winnipeg in 1987. After playing in junior for two more years, he appeared only sparingly for the Jets. Traded to Chicago in 1991, Marchment’s physical presence was essential to the Blackhawks’ finals appearance in 1992. He then spent half a season in Hartford before moving to Edmonton for parts of four seasons. He then spent 22 games in Tampa Bay in 1997-1998 before settling in San Jose. After brief stints with the Colorado Avalanche and Toronto Maple Leafs, Marchment retired after the 2006 season as a member of the Calgary Flames.
