Colin Patterson
Biography
Originally a lacrosse player, Colin Patterson won a bronze medal with Canada at the World Championships. While a student at Clarkson College, he played hockey and was accidentally discovered by a Calgary Flames scout. Signed as a free agent in 1983, Patterson became a defensive defenseman and stayed with the Flames for eight seasons, winning a Stanley Cup in the process. After missing an entire season due to injury, Patterson returned with Buffalo for two seasons before retiring in 1993.
