Dana Murzyn
Biography
Dana Murzyn was selected 5th overall by the Hartford Whalers in 1985. In his rookie year, he finished with 26 points and made the NHL’s All-Rookie team. After two and a half seasons with the Whalers, he moved to Calgary, where he was a key defensive component in the Flames’ 1989 Stanley Cup win. In 1991, he was traded to Vancouver where he spent eight seasons and returned to the Stanley Cup finals in 1994. A knee injury forced his retirement in 1999.
