One of the best known sport anchors in Canada, Sportsnet Connected host Evanka Osmak is frequently seen on the evening edition of the show alongside her co-anchor, Ken Reid. Having graduated with an engineering degree from Queens University, Osmak was initially an engineering consultant before deciding to make a career change. Osmak subsequently enrolled in a 3 month broadcasting program offered by Seneca College, and instantly fell in love with broadcasting. After briefly working for a radio station in Orillia, Osmak moved to Yuma, Arizona to work for KYMA-TV. During her time in Arizona, she was sent to Toronto for a segment on the Toronto Blue Jays. While on that particular business trip, Osmak met Sportsnet anchor Jamie Campbell. When it came time to recruit a new anchor, Campbell remembered Osmak and recommended her for a tryout, and the rest is history. Osmak has been a regular on Sportsnet since 2006. A native of Oakville, Osmak currently lives in Toronto with her husband, Adam Hutton.
