Guy Lapointe
Biography
Guy Lapointe (HHOF ’93) set a new standard for defensemen in the NHL and spent the majority of his tenure with the Cup-rich Montreal Canadiens. Joining the Habs in 1970, he became a solid checker and a master point man on the power play. He won six Stanley Cups with Montreal and played for Canada during the 1972 Summit Series, as well as the 1976 Canada Cup. He went on to play for St. Louis and Boston before retiring. He is now a scout with the Minnesota Wild.
