Jamie Macoun
Biography
A stay-at-home defenseman, Jamie Macoun spent three years at Ohio State before signing as a free agent with Calgary in 1983. He played late in the season before securing a spot the next season. In 1987, he was in a car accident, suffered severe nerve damage in his arm and missed the entire season. However, he returned the next year and won the Stanley Cup with the Flames. Midway though the 1991-92 season he went to Toronto in the Cliff Fletcher mega-deal. After helping the Leafs reach the conference finals two years in a row, he was traded to Detroit in 1998 and won a second Stanley Cup. After the next season, he retired with 1128 regular season appearances.
