Known as the “The Voice of the Toronto Maple Leafs”, Joe Bowen has been at the microphone since 1982, broadcasting over 2100 Maple Leaf games. Bowen claims he got his catchphrase “Holy Mackinaw!” from his father, who used the phrase as an alternative to swearing. He is also well known for his creative way of announcing starting goaltenders at the beginning of games. Bowen, along with partner Greg Millen are the voices of Leafs games heard on Rogers Sportsnet and Leafs TV. The pair are also frequently heard on the radio on Sportsnet 590 The Fan and TSN Radio and CBC for playoff games. Joe currently resides in Unionville, Ontario.
