Joel Otto
Biography
A hulking player with great hands, Joel Otto was one of the NHL’s best two-way centres. Signed as a free agent by Calgary in 1984, he alternated between the parent club and the AHL affiliate. Making a place for himself the following season, he was involved with clutch plays and helped the Flames reach the finals twice; the second attempt resulted in a Stanley Cup. After 11 seasons with Calgary, he moved to Philadelphia for three more before retiring in 1998. He finished his career with 582 points and 2141 PIMs in 1065 regular season and playoff games.
