Michael Lansberg
Biography
One of the best-known personalities in the world of Canadian broadcasting, Landsberg started his career as an anchor on SportsCentre on TSN in 1984 and went on to broadcast more than 5,000 episodes, becoming one of Canada’s most trusted sports voices along the way. He left SportsCentre in the fall of 1997 to host TSN’s Off The Record. Landsberg devotes a great deal of time to one of the dozens of charity events he hosts every year. In just two years, Landsberg raised more than $200,000 at his golf tournament for Sick Children’s Hospital in Toronto. In 2001, Landsberg was named “Man of the Year” by the Canadian Friends of Hebrew University, in recognition of his continuing contributions to the community. Landsberg has also spoken out publicly about his battles with depression in an attempt to raise awareness and reduce the stigma that surrounds mental illness.
