Rejean Houle
Biography
Drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in 1969, he played his first full season in 1971. That year, he won a Stanley Cup, as well as in 1973. Feeling the heat of a city that felt he wasn’t up to snuff, he skipped to the WHA’s Quebec Nordiques for three seasons. Scoring 103 points in 81 games, Houle’s confidence returned and he rejoined the Habs in 1976. He went on to win three more Stanley Cups and retired in 1983. He became an executive at a national brewer until 1995 when he became Montreal’s general manager. Although he left the post in 2000, he is still active in charity events for the Canadiens and other organizations.
