Ronnie Lott
Biography
After a successful college career at the University of Southern California, where he was a honored as a consensus All-American, Ronnie Lott was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers 8th overall in the 1981 NFL Draft. Lott would be major part of a 49ers dynasty that won 4 Super Bowl titles (XVI, XIX, XXIII, XXIV). Lott also racked up several individual awards throughout his NFL career, including being named an Associated Press First Team All-Pro 8 times, being named to the Pro Bowl 10 times and being named to both the NFL’s 1980’s and 1990’s All-Decade Teams. After leaving the 49er after the 1990 season, Lott would spend 2 years each with the Los Angeles Raiders and the New York Jets before spending a single season with the Kansas City Chiefs. Lott would retire from football in1995. After retirement, the 49ers would retire his number 42 jersey and Lott would be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2000.
