Wilf Paiement
Biography
Chosen second overall by the Kansas City Scouts, Wilf Paiement established himself as both a scorer and a fighter. In 1976, he moved with the team to Colorado where he continued to lead until he was traded to the Maple Leafs for Lanny McDonald in 1980. In Toronto, Paiement had his best season in 1980-81 with 40 goals and 97 points. Halfway through the next season, he joined the Quebec Nordiques and their feisty “Battle of Quebec” with the Canadiens. After short stays with the Rangers, Penguins and Sabres, Paiement retired in 1988. He is now active with various causes as both a Maple Leafs and NHL alumnus.
