Biography
A true natural athlete, Heather Moyse has represented Canada in 3 sports and played an additional 2 sports at the Canadian Colligate level. For bobsleigh, Moyse is a 3 time Olympian. At her first Olympic Games in Torino, she came 4th, narrowly missing the podium. Moyse would subsequently go on to win Gold Medals at both the 2010 Vancouver Olympics and the 2014 Sochi Olympics. In addition to her success at the Olympics, Moyse has won 2 Bronze Medals at the World Championships, 6 Gold Medals, 6 Silver Medals and 4 Bronze Medals at various World Cup Events. Moyse has also represented Canada in rugby, appearing at both the 2006 and 2010 Women’s Rugby World Cup and 2013 Women’s World Cup Sevens. Also formerly a member of the University of Waterloo’s women’s rugby team, Moyse was both a team Rookie of the Year and MVP. Moyse was also a part of Waterloo’s first ever CIAU Bronze Medal winning team. Moyse has also excelled in track, representing Prince Edward Island as a sprinter at the 1997 Canada Games and she still holds PEI’s Senior Ladies record in triple jump. Also a member of the University of Waterloo’s track team, she competed at 4 CIAU championships. Throughout her track career at Waterloo, she won 10 OUA medals and 2 CIAU Bronze Medals. Moyse also played one season on the women’s soccer team during her time at Waterloo.
