Alain R. Gabriel Côté, born on April 14, 1967, is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player and inline hockey player. Côté's professional career kicked off when he was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the second round (31st overall) of the 1985 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut during the 1985–86 season, playing 36 games and tallying six assists. Over the course of his NHL career, Côté played for five different teams: the Boston Bruins (1985–86 to 1988–89), Washington Capitals (1989–90), Montreal Canadiens (1990–91 to 1991–92), Tampa Bay Lightning (1992–93), and Quebec Nordiques (1993–94). Throughout his NHL tenure, he accumulated 20 points, including 2 goals and 18 assists, along with 124 penalty minutes in 119 games.
