Andrew Mangiapane started his career when he joined the Barrie Colts as a free agent in 2013. He played a total of 3 seasons on the team. In his 2014 and 2015 seasons, Andrew had an outstanding performance topping 100 points in back-to-back seasons, where he was later named the alternate captain. In the year of 2015, Andrew was able to sign an entry-level deal with the Calgary Flames in the draft in round 6, 166th overall. Andrew began playing for the Calgary Flames affiliate team, Stockton Heat, 2016 for two seasons. He played his first season with the Flames in 2019 and was with the Flames for 6 seasons before he was traded to the Capitals, where he plays today. Andrew played internationally in 2021 for Team Canada in the Ice Hockey World Championship, collecting his first gold medal with an outstanding performance of 7 goals and 4 assists within 7 games. Mangiapane in the 2021 World Championships was elected most valuable player by the media.
