May was one of the most imposing forwards in the NHL and was claimed 14th overall by the Buffalo Sabres at the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. A member of Canada's 1991 Gold Medal World Junior Team, May showed plenty of spunk as a rookie with the Sabres and scored one of the franchise’ most memorable goal in OT to eliminate the Bruins as announcer Rick Jeanneret called the goal MAYDAY..MAYDAY! Brad had a lengthy career playing in over 1000 NHL Games with Buffalo, Vancouver, Phoenix, Colorado, Anaheim where he won a Stanley Cup and then capped off with stops in Toronto and Detroit. Post hockey Brad has done broadcasting work and currently spends time in both Toronto and Arizona. He has a charity hockey event called the Brad May Celebrity Classic in support of Easter Seals, helping kids with physical disabilities in the Toronto area.
