Bellows played nearly 1200 games in his NHL Career with teams such as Minnesota North Stars, Montreal Canadiens, Tampa Bay Lightning, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim and the Washington Capitals. He began his career playing junior hockey with the Kitchener Rangers at which time, he was featured in Sports Illustrated, which described him as the hottest prospect since Wayne Gretzky. The pressure of such comparisons caused criticisms among the critics until Bellows improved greatly in the second half of the season with the North Stars finishing with 35 goals. Brian Played 10 seasons with Minnesota becoming an interim captain at 19 years 4 months. In 92’ Bellows was reluctantly traded to the Montreal Canadiens where he had the second highest season total of 88 points and Stanley Cup win in 93’. Brian retired with 485 goals, 537 assists and 1,022 points.
