Bio

Curtis Joseph or better known as  ‘Cujo’  established that name on the ice for his masks featuring a snarling dog (inspired by the Stephen King novel Cujo) it also just so happens to be derived from the first two letters of his first and last names. His first career success story came about while playing for the Athol Murray College of Notre Dame in Saskatchewan where he won the Canadian Junior A Championship in 88’. He began his NHL career immediately after with the St. Louis Blues which lasted until 95’ when he was traded to the Edmonton Oilers. His career lead him to win many honors and Trophy’s along the way, some being – silver (1996) and gold (1997) medals at successive World Championships, two team MVP honors and the King Clancy Memorial Trophy, with the Toronto Maple Leafs which honors leadership and community service. Curtis also competed at the 2002 Winter Olympics where he brought home another gold metal. Not only did Curtis play with the Red Wings, Phoenix Coyotes and Calgary Flames he finish his career with the Toronto Maple Leafs announcing his retirement on January 12, 2010
