Dave Ellett played in the NCAA for Bowling Green University. Drafted by the Winnipeg Jets 75th overall in 1982. Ellett played almost 7 seasons in Winnipeg before a trade to the Maple Leafs in 1990. Ellett jumped into the lineup and added solid leadership and scoring as Toronto made two solid cup runs. After close to seven seasons, Ellett moved to the New Jersey Devils, Boston, and St. Louis. An outstanding career as a defensive defenseman he played 1246 games totalling 626 points. He represented Canada at the World Championships in ‘89
