Donovan Bailey is an Olympic runner, best known for winning the gold medal for Canada at the 1996 Olympics in the men’s 100m, where he set a world record of 9.84 seconds. In the same games, he won a second gold in the men’s 4x100m relay. He has also won four medals at the International Association of Athletics Federations World Championships. Donovan has been inducted into both the Ontario Sports Hall of Fame and the Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame. In 2002, Bailey founded the Donovan Bailey Foundation in support of amateur athletes, and has received the Order of Ontario and the Order of Canada.
