Jennifer grew up in Winnipeg and from an early age began curling with her father Larry as her coach. She would win three Junior Provincial and one National Championship as a Junior. She attended University of Manitoba and earned her BA and LLB. Jones on ice success continued after juniors and quickly became a force in Manitoba. Her first appearance at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts for the Canadian Championship came in 2002 and lost in the playoffs. Jones would return to the Scotties in 2005 and in what is still known today as “THE SHOT” Jones scored four points with her final rock in the 10th end to secure her first National Championship winning 8-4 over Ontario.
Jennifer is arguably the most decorated curler in the history of the game! Here is a list of her achievements:

· 18 Scotties Appearances - 6 Golds, 5 Silvers & 4 Bronze Medals
· 6 World Championship Appearances – 2 Gold, 1 Silver &1 Bronze Medal
· Canadian Mixed Doubles Championships – 1 Gold & 1 Bronze Medal
· 17 Grand Slam Tour Championships
· 11 Manitoba Provincial Champion
· 3 Manitoba Provincial Junior Champion
· 1 National Junior Champion
Jennifer recently announced her retirement from women’s curling. With a young team, she led them to the Scotties final and a great game coming up one short losing to Ontario. She resides in the Barrie area with her husband and fellow curling champion Brent Laing with their two daughters.
