Her journey in hockey began early, with notable achievements during her time at College Lorette Collegiate in Manitoba, where she became the first female player in the Winnipeg High School Boys League. Larocque's exceptional talent and dedication earned her recognition as Top Defenceman at the Canadian National Women's Under-18 Championship. Continuing her success at the collegiate level, Larocque starred for the University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs, where she played a pivotal role in winning two NCAA Women's Ice Hockey Tournament championships (2008, 2010). Her contributions to the team's success earned her accolades, including being named the top-scoring defenceman in the WCHA and receiving multiple postseason honors. Transitioning to professional hockey, Larocque showcased her prowess with teams like the Calgary Inferno and Markham Thunder in the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL), helping the Thunder secure their first Clarkson Cup in 2018. Notably, she served as team captain, demonstrating her leadership on and off the ice. Internationally, Larocque has represented Canada with distinction, winning gold at the 2014 Sochi Olympics and 2022 Beijing Olympics and a silver medal at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics. In 2023 she was drafted second overall to the Toronto Sceptres of the PWHL. She was traded to the Ottawa Charge at the end of 2024.
