Johnny Herbert is a British former Formula 1 race winning driver and television announcer for Sky Sports F1. He raced in Formula One from 1989 to 2000 for seven different teams, winning three races, having seven podiums and placing 4th overall in the 1995 World Drivers' Championship. He also raced sports cars, winning the Le Mans 24 Hours in 1991 driving a Mazda 787B outpacing the likes of Michael Scheumacher. From 2012 to 2022, Herbert has been a regular contributor to the Sky Sports F1 channel. He was an essential presence as one of the insiders in "Sky Race Control" during practices, qualifying sessions, and races alongside Anthony Davidson, Damon Hill, Nico Rosberg, and Paul Di Resta. Johnny is known as the " Cheeky Chappy '' and is recognized for having a great sense of humour and being one of the most liked drivers in Formula 1. Johnny has had a very successful career in Motorsport especially after suffering injuries in a life threatening crash in Formula 2 and major reconstructive surgery to his feet. Johnny represents the true meaning of perseverance.
