Duchene was selected third overall by the Colorado Avalanche in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. He made an immediate impact in the NHL, showcasing his scoring prowess and playmaking abilities. During his tenure with the Avalanche, Duchene became known as one of the team's top forwards, consistently producing points and earning recognition as an NHL All-Star. Throughout his career, Duchene has also played for several other NHL teams, including the Ottawa Senators, Columbus Blue Jackets, Nashville Predators and Dallas Stars.
