Bio

Mike Keane was born in Winnipeg and was known as a solid team player and leader. Mike was signed by the Montreal Canadiens in 1988, contributing 16 goals his first season and adding four more in the playoffs to help the Canadiens reach the Stanley Cup Finals, where they fell to the Calgary Flames. He enjoyed the best year of his career in 1992-93 with 60 points, including 15 goals, adding 15 points in 19 playoff games to win the first of his three career Stanley Cups. Keane was named the Canadiens captain in April 1995 in the wake of the Kirk Muller trade but he was subsequently dealt to Colorado in December 1995 along with Patrick Roy. Keane won his second Stanley Cup that season with the Avalanche. After signing with the New York Rangers in the summer of 1997, he was traded to the Dallas Stars, with whom he once again won the Stanley Cup. He is currently one of eight players in NHL history to have won the Cup with three different teams. Before retiring from the NHL, he went on to play in St. Louis, Colorado, and Vancouver. With hockey blood coursing through his veins, he continued to play professionally as captain of the Manitoba Moose in his native Winnipeg
