Nick Kypreos went undrafted to the NHL after finishing 2nd in scoring in Junior. He broke into the NHL in ‘89/’90 with the Washington Capitals where he played 3 seasons before being traded to the Hartford Whalers. He played for the Whalers just over a season before being traded to the New York Rangers in 1993. Kypreos played 46 games with New York and helped them win their first Stanley Cup in 54 years. Kypreos had gone on to serve as a hockey analyst for Sportsnet in Canada, as the co-host of Hockey Central. He was also co-host of Hockey Central at Noon on The Fan 590 in Toronto and simulcast on Sportsnet as of 2018. His role was expanded in October 2014 when he became part of the new but revamped Hockey Night in Canada as an analyst after its parent, Rogers Media acquired the sole national television rights to the NHL in November 2013, until he departed in 2019. In October 2021, he teamed up with Justin Borne to create the podcast “Real Kyper & Bourne.” Nick is married and lives in Toronto with his family.
