A college hockey star with the University of Minnesota-Duluth, Pat Boutette was drafted in the 9th round, 132nd overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1972 NHL draft. After spending two years in the minors with the Oklahoma City Blazers after his college career, Boutette made the Leafs for the 1975/76 season. Boutette would also play for the Hartford Whalers and the Pittsburgh Penguins before retiring after the 1985 season. Boutette had 453 points in 756 NHL games.
