Drafted 6th overall in 1986 by the Toronto Maple Leafs after a successful Junior career with Laval in the QMJHL. Vincent Damphousse would play 5 seasons with the Leafs and was a top scorer every year. He was the main player of a blockbuster trade in the 1991 offseason moving him to Edmonton. Damphousse played only one season with Edmonton but led the team in scoring with 89 points. Vinny was traded again, this time to his hometown Montreal Canadiens. A dream opportunity and with whom he won his only Stanley Cup in his first season as a Hab. Damphousse would play 7 seasons with the Canadiens, serving as team captain from 1996 until his trade to the San Jose Sharks halfway through the 1998/1999 season. After spending 5 full seasons with San Jose, Damphousse retired at the conclusion of the 2005 NHL lockout. His NHL totals of 1378 GP with 1205 points.
