Wayne played his junior hockey in the WHL with Edmonton Oil Kings & Portland Winter Hawks where he scored 50 goals twice and totalled over 350 points throughout his Junior career. He also represented Canada at the World Juniors finishing 2nd in team scoring behind Gretzky and winning a bronze for Canada. Drafted 3rd overall by the St. Louis Blues, Wayne would have a great rookie season scoring 27 goals and totalling 63 points. He spent 6 seasons with the Blues before moving onto Pittsburgh, Quebec & Hartford. Wayne played in the NHL All-Star Game in’81 and retired in ‘86/’87 season totalling 560 NHL Games and 454 total points.
